Over the years that I have been collecting quotes there are a few that have stuck in my mind. For example when I was serving as a missionary for my church, I came across this quote which came to mean a lot to me then and still does.
“People don’t care how much you know, until they know much you care.”
As a teacher, especially as a young teacher it can be very difficult to convince others that you can teach them something that will be of great benifit in their lives and in the lives of their families. As the quote above says; if people know that you care about them, then it is a lot easier to teach them something that is of value, such as truth & increased knowledge and understanding.
Sometimes there are thoughts that can have a great deal of meaning to you and can sit in your mind. Like the following thought.
“You can dodge your responsibilities, but you can’t dodge the consequences of dodging your responsibilities.”
So if you are ever asked to do something and don’t want to do it. Consider first if it worth the consequences of not doing it. Or for that matter anything we do in life has a consequence, the question we need to ask ourselves; is the consequence of doing or not doing a particular action or task good or bad.
Thats all from me for now; until the next time I bid you Adieu!
