Our quote for the day comes from Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 32nd president of the Untied States of America. Serving from 1933 to 1945, leading America out of the depression and through most of WW2. Winning 4 terms in office and dying 3 months into his 4th term.
This quote deals with holding on when all seems lost.
So I hope this helps. As always have a great day people till tomorrow.
For today’s quote we go to the words of a gentleman by the name of Pubilius Syrus who lived between 85 – 43 BC. He came to Rome from Syria as a slave, but was able through his wit and talent to impress his master. Who freed him and educated him. And was able to make an impact on Roman life with his talent; even winning a competition in which he received a prize from Caesar himself.
So let us begin my friends –
“Prosperity makes friends, adversity tries them.”
So until tomorrow, have a great day.
For sometime now I have been giving thought as to how I could best share with you all the quotes that I have gathered over the years and am still collecting from various sources. So instead of doing a themed post every so often I thought that it might be a useful idea to do a daily post. A quote of the day for a time, and also when the opportunity arises I will still do a themed post from time to time.
So here is my first quote of the day. As always they come from my collections and hopefully they will convey a message for you, and give you food for thought, as always
“The person who is content to get by, is soon passed by.“
